After 31 years working in mixed veterinary practice as an assistant, partner, and then single proprietor, I have now ‘passed the reins’ to others and am working on a part-time basis. My spare time is spent realising my lifelong dream as a small time farmer, managing Wiltshire Horn sheep, Guernsey and Shetland cattle and assorted chicken. Whether vetting or farming, working with animals has provided both the ‘highest of the highs’ and the ‘lowest of the lows’, and I am very fortunate in all they have given me; long may it continue. | ||||
