We are a modern well equipped practice staffed by caring and dedicated equine vets.

Digital radiography. Our portable DR radiography system allows high quality x rays to be taken at your premises with instant results. Copies of the x rays can be left with you as required.

Ultrasonography.
Scanning is used predominantly to diagnose soft tissue injuries and diseases. Scanning of tendons and ligaments is a valuable tool in the diagnosis of lameness. Visualisation of abdominal structures such as the liver or bowel is also commonly carried out by ultrasonography.

Endoscopy.
We use this to visualise the horse’s large airways and collect samples as necessary for the diagnosis and treatment of respiratory disease. Gastroscopy to visualise the stomach is also available.

Dentistry
We carry out a large amount of equine dentistry and are well equipped with both hand rasps and power tools for corrective work where required. Good dental care is fundamental to your horse’s welfare and performance. It is a special interests of the practice so do give us a call.

Shock Wave Therapy
Extracorporeal Shock Wave Therapy is very useful for the treatment of a number of musculo skeletal injuries such as suspensory desmitis and sore backs.

Laboratory
We have our own in house lab which provides rapid test results to help with prompt diagnosis and treatment.

Clinic with In Patient and exercise Facilites;
If you need your horse to be cared for or examined away from home, then we have the facilities to do so. Most work can be carried out at your premises, however if you have limited facilities at home for the examination needed, then the clinic is another option. For example, if we need a hard lungeing surface to examine your lame horse then the clinic facilities are available. Likewise if your horse needs particular treatment or care that you cannot carry out at home, we can offer hospitalisation.
